From Stacey...My son has been attending Twinkle Little Star for 14 months now and I couldn’t be happier with the care he receives. Hala truly treats the children as if they were her own. She provides a warm, loving and safe environment combined with structure that gives your child the opportunity to learn and develop. It gives me a sense of peace knowing that my son is part of a "second family” when he is there.
Prior to finding Twinkle Little Star Child Care, my Son Evan was cared for by his Nana while we were working. He was learning the fundamentals such as colors, the letters in his name and his numbers up to ten, but he was also learning how to make a cup of coffee, how to use the vacuum (which he really enjoyed, and still does) and the noises you need to make when you have bad knees and are trying to get up off the floor. When my 16 month old child was grunting and groaning when getting up off the floor because he thought that is what everyone did, I knew he needed to be around others his age.
Twinkle Little Star was the first place we saw, I was very impressed at how clean and organized things were when we arrived, even with six little ones to care for. Evan went right for the toy vacuum and didn’t look back. Although I felt comfortable, I needed to look at other day cares so I had a point of reference. We made appointments at two other in-home day cares, neither of which could compare to what Hala had to offer. Evan’s first day was one I will never forget, my Husband and I both went to drop him off, he did cry initially, but soon was engaged in play with the other children and almost forgot we were there. I also cried, but was quickly hugged and comforted by Hala who said "don’t worry, I’ll take good care of your baby” and sent me off to work.
Evan is now 3 ½ and attends day care at Twinkly Little Star 3 days a week, he brings home an art activity at least once a week as well as the learning sheets for his letters and numbers, my fridge looks beautiful all the time! I truly believe this was the best decision we could have made for him, he is making friends and learning social skills, he has the opportunity to interact with people outside of his family and learn from them. He is getting an introduction to formal learning which will be the groundwork for his future education. Hala has become a very good friend as well as someone who knows my child and can offer an objective view of his progress as well as point out areas that need improvement. I enrolled my son at Twinkle Little Stars when he was 12 weeks old and it was one of the best decisions I ever made for him. I had interviewed 3 Daycare Centers and 8 Home Daycare providers and no one had the credentials and loving demeanor that I found in Hala. My son is well loved, very well taken care of and I always feel like he is in a safe, nurturing environment.
